Bes, saan aabot ang 500 pesos mo? Ever wanted to go on a trip that is near from the city even on a tight budget? Worry no more! Naa naka'y pang summer jumpstart photos this 2018. Our plan started to be a mountain climbing only. We then came up to an idea of going to Naga's Mt. Naupa. We're thinking na nindot unta'g naay kaligoan after katkat. Sudden changes of plan until it's all wrapped up to Carmen's Mt. Mago. Perfect kaayo among pagsaka! Naka - save naka, naka sea of clouds pa ka, bes! Yes, SEA OF CLOUDS for your Instagram. If the sky is clear, you can clearly see how tall Mt. Kanlaon is on the SW direction, Carmen mountains and Camotes Island to your East and where the sun rises will be, Negros Oriental and Tuburan(which for me where the Mago Peak is exactly located) on your West. Timing ra jud nang sea of clouds and this place right here is a worth add - on experience to your life. We have prepared our own itinerary and you can also plan it freely by yourself. You can have this blog for your guide purposes. Feel free! Okay. How to get there? 1. Ride a bus from Cebu North Bus Terminal. You can ride any bus as Carmen is just 42 kilometers (1 - 2 - hr travel) from the metro. 2. Remind the bus conductor to drop you off at Carmen Public Market. Carmen Public Market is just nestled in the national road. Metro Supermarket Carmen with MetroBank ATM machine (sometimes, mag offline so better bring cash nalang daan), Carmen Public Market, 7 Eleven store, pharmacies and bakeshops are the establishments nearby for your shopping and essential needs in the proper. 3. Ride a habal - habal to Brgy. Santican, Danao Barangay Hall. Travel time would take 1 - 2 hours. 4. Get a guide to Mago peak. Pwede ra ka dili mokuha ug guide kung kadumdum ra ka. For me, kuha ug bata na guide para maka less ug minimum of Php 20/head ang bayad. Adult guide fee may reach up to Php 100/head.
OUR MOUNT MAGO TRAIL
Before reaching the peak of Mago, hangak kaayo ang saka and has to achieve this more or less than 6 - km beginner's mountain hike and we made a lot of stops and making it an opportunity to capture some Instagrammable photos of the mountain ranges.
You should bring sunblock, wear clothes that protects you from the heat of the sun, cap/hat, daghang tubig kay grabe kaayo ang kainit bes!
Hugot lines talk by Neil Jed Castro, playing cards, and picture - picture activities sa peak and music. And what's more I could ask for when Kuya, a local here is offering us a fresh butong for free. We insisted na bayran nalang bisag Php 15/butong and kuya even insisted back na for free nalang. Makalingaw pu'g mga storya si kuya manoy.
The pain that you bring during the trek while you even barely hear your gasping breath is all paid off by these sea of clouds, fresh coconut water, a fog that hugs you like a cooler in its full blast and a relaxing night at the peak under the stars, a majestic sunset and sunrise and insert all of the adjectives here. It's all worth a climb.
It has been a great day to spend your rest day from school, work or from the city. Before we all went to sleep, we've talked about life experiences horror stories. Creepy na dayon pero loslos Mt. Mago is very safe for camping overnight and I can assure you with that. It's an ideal peak for you to have some relaxing sleep because of the soothing sound of the wind, nocturnal insects, and the trees plus the rejuvenating coldness of the environment.
MORNING VIBES AT THE PEAK We woke up as early as 5:30 AM to catch the sunrise and will trek back pauli. Lakas maka "new chapter" moment ang hamugaway na kabuntagon.
Ang plano mangadlawn ug naog para di maabtan ug init pero dapat jud ma perfect ang jumpshot. We're heading home, no trash must be left behind. Leave no trace policy and it's all check!
As we're heading down from the peak, maka inspired ang mga studyante na nag baklay na walay mga reklamo padung skwelahan. If only we are that excited and enjoy a little of our life of going to school or to our workplace.
SIDE TRIPS After our Mt. Mago hike, hire a habal - habal and pwede ra kaayo ka mohangyo sa driver na mohunong sa mga dalan na daghang pine trees near Cebu Safari and Adventure Park, sa Camp Enzo or sa Casa Maria. These are the areas na naay daghang pine trees and some manmade - like 100% natural forest. So, let me insert this transportation fees again. You may enjoy this Instagrammable road going back.
ST. BENEDICT MONASTERY AND OUR LADY OF MANAOAG ROSARY CENTER We made a quick visit to this place after our Mt. Mago adventure. You'll find peace once you enter the premises of this sacred place. Pwede ka managkot diri, have some solemn prayer in the chapel and this is ideal for a family get together. One of the best things in life are FREE and yes, this place was provided by our God for you.
Since, duol ra ni gikan sa St. Benedict Monastery, we took a relaxing dip in a free flowing spring. DURANO ECO FARM AND SPRING RESORT Na relax jud among mga muscles ani sa kabugnaw sa spring. You can also visit this resort for your family outing or gathering with your friends. These are the rates: Na solo namo ang spring, given that it's weekdays and photobomber - free kaayo and naka free mi'g occupy ug cottage. I - ready na dayon inyong mga hashtags! #tropicalvibes #summer2018
